Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) Medical Officer (General) Recruitment 2026 - 630 Posts

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot has released Advertisement No. BFU-26/26 to fill 630 Medical Officer (General) posts under the Department of Health and Family Welfare (DHS), Government of Punjab. These 630 vacancies reportedly include 540 fresh posts and 90 backlog posts, making this one of the largest doctor recruitment drives run by BFUHS in recent years. Punjab's community health centres, rural dispensaries and district hospitals badly need MBBS doctors, so this is a great chance to get a stable, permanent government medical job in Punjab. BFUHS is the university that conducts recruitment tests for most paramedical and medical posts under the Punjab health department, and it regularly runs similar drives for staff nurses, pharmacists and other health cadres. The selected Medical Officers will be posted across various districts of Punjab based on the department's requirement and the candidate's merit position.

  • You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Punjab government rules, along with the usual service benefits available to permanent government doctors, such as pension contribution and medical leave.
