AVFCCL, a joint venture of the Government of Assam, OIL, NFL, HURL and BVFCL, has released Advertisement No. E/04/2026 to fill 2 executive posts at its natural gas-based Ammonia-Urea fertilizer complex. The company needs a Vice President to lead its Project department and an Additional Chief Manager to head Contract & Material operations. Both posts are on a regular basis with a 1-year probation period — a rare opening for senior professionals in the fertilizer and petrochemical sector to join a government-backed enterprise.

Who Can Apply?

For Vice President - Project (Grade E-8):

• Qualification: Full-time regular Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology or Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% marks.
• Experience: You should have led large fertilizer, petrochemical or refinery projects, ideally ammonia and urea plants using natural gas-based technology. Experience as a Project Head, General Manager, Site Head, Plant Head or Business Unit Head is preferred, covering EPC/LSTK contracts, PMC oversight, construction and regulatory compliance.

For Additional Chief Manager - Contract & Material (Grade E-6):

• Qualification: Full-time regular Engineering Degree in any branch, OR an MBA in Materials Management, OR a 2-year regular PG Diploma in Materials Management recognised as equivalent to MBA by UGC/AICTE — all with minimum 60% marks.
• Experience: You need hands-on experience in tendering, contract administration, vendor management, purchase orders, inventory control, stores and logistics, contract closure, SAP/ERP systems, MIS preparation, e-procurement/e-tendering and GeM. Knowledge of GST, customs regulations, import management and CVC guidelines is important. Experience in fertilizer, petrochemical or chemical PSU/government organizations is preferred.

Note: Only full-time, regular qualifications are accepted for both posts — distance-learning degrees are not eligible. Work experience must be gained after your qualifying degree; teaching, part-time work, internships and apprenticeships do not count as qualifying experience. Candidates currently working in a PSU or government organization must submit an NOC from their employer.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit for Vice President is 53 years.
• The upper age limit for Additional Chief Manager is 44 years, with a 5-year relaxation for candidates from PSUs/JVs in the fertilizer industry.
• Age and post-qualification experience are calculated as on the cut-off date of 30 June 2026.

Salary

• Vice President (E-8): Rs. 1,20,000 to Rs. 2,80,000 per month, with an approximate CTC of Rs. 37 lakh per annum.
• Additional Chief Manager (E-6): Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 2,40,000 per month, with an approximate CTC of Rs. 28.50 lakh per annum.
