Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Government College, Silvassa (affiliated with Gujarat University and recognised by the UGC) wants to fill 3 Visiting/Guest Faculty posts on a contractual basis for 89 days. The faculty will teach for Semester I, III and V of the 2026-27 academic session. Retired professors are also welcome to apply. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master's Degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant subject (Economics, Mathematics or Hindi), along with NET/SET/SLET or Ph.D. Any relaxation is as per UGC norms.
• Preference: NET/SET/Ph.D. qualified candidates are preferred.
• Language: Proficiency in the Gujarati language is desirable.

Age Limit

• The notification does not set an upper age limit. Even retired professors are welcome to apply.

Salary

• Fully eligible candidates (NET/SET/Ph.D.) are paid Rs. 1,000 per lecture of one hour.
• Candidates with only a Master's Degree are paid Rs. 500 per lecture of one hour.
• The total honorarium is capped at Rs. 25,000 per month (consolidated).
• The academic workload is about 16 hours per week, and college timing is from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
• No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

Selection Process

The selection is done through a walk-in interview:

1. Walk-In Interview: Attend on the date fixed for your subject with all documents.
2. Demo Class: You will be judged on your subject knowledge (from basic to PG level) and your teaching during a demo class.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates are checked on the spot.

Selected candidates will also take internal tests, evaluate answer scripts, submit internal marks and do university exam duty as per Gujarat University norms (paid separately).
