NCCBM Project Associates Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCCBM) is recruiting project staff for construction, cement research, environmental studies and plant engineering. The council works under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. These are temporary, project-linked appointments across named assignments in Silvassa, Ballabgarh and Hyderabad.

Posts and Disciplines

• Principal Project Associate and Project Associate-II, NCBA: The Ahmedabad centre’s assignments support the Athal Junction flyover project, with posting at Silvassa.
• Senior Project Associates, CDR: Ballabgarh research covers self-compacting concrete and the use of steelmaking slag as fine aggregate.
• Project Associates-I and II, CRT: Cement research assignments cover chemical admixtures, limestone-mine waste and higher fly ash content in cement.
• Senior Project Associates, CME: These Ballabgarh projects address oxyfuel calcination, calcium looping, green cement certification and carbon uptake by concrete.
• Project Associate-I, CME: The C-PRIME project develops an artificial intelligence and machine learning tool for cement-project risk assessment.
• Project Associates-II, NCBH: Hyderabad postings support civil quality assurance, structural condition assessment and electrical audit projects.

Post-wise Duties

Principal Project Associate and Civil Project Associate-II

You will handle construction quality checks for the assigned project. The work ranges from bridge and building quality assurance to site assessments and reports on non-destructive testing.

Senior Project Associates

Your work follows the project discipline: concrete testing, computational fluid dynamics or environmental assessment. You may plan experiments, interpret material properties, model carbon-capture systems or assess emissions and environmental footprints.

Materials Project Associates-I and II

You will support cement and materials research through laboratory trials, sample characterisation and analysis. Depending on the assignment, this includes developing admixtures, evaluating cement batches or preparing technical reports.

Data and Electrical Project Associates

The C-PRIME role focuses on collecting, cleaning and analysing project data for tool development. The electrical assignment covers inspections of installations and equipment, checking drawings and carrying out technical audits.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: Each appointment lasts for the stated project duration or until that project finishes, whichever comes first. The engagement is tied to the assigned project.
• Recruitment decisions: NCB may amend or cancel the advertisement and may leave posts unfilled if suitable applicants are not found.
• Conduct: Staff must follow NCB rules and protect office confidentiality. Attempting to influence the recruitment can lead to disqualification.
• Travel and stay: Interview travel costs will not be reimbursed. Arrange your own stay because proceedings may continue late or into the next day.
