SVD PGT Recruitment 2026: Overview
Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Education Society's Sarvajanik Vidyalaya, Daman (SVD) is recruiting Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) for its Higher Secondary Section through regular direct recruitment. The notice covers commerce and biology teaching at the school in Daman. Its main caveat is the performance-based grant-in-aid arrangement: entitlement to the salary grant from the UT Administration follows the School Education policy named in the advertisement.
Posts and Disciplines
- Account/Commerce: This is the English-medium teaching post in the Higher Secondary Section. The attached application form identifies it as Accounts/Commerce and is separate from the biology form.
- Biology: This is the Gujarati-medium teaching post in the same section. Use the form headed for Biology in Gujarati medium so your application clearly identifies the advertised subject.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Nature of appointment: The school describes these as regular grant-in-aid posts filled through direct recruitment. The positions are classified as Group B, non-gazetted and non-ministerial.
- Grant policy: The salary grant is governed by the UT Administration's performance-based Grant-in-Aid Policy of School Education. Read this condition alongside the advertised pay scale when considering the appointment.
- Travel costs: The school will not pay travelling or daily allowance. You will need to make your own arrangements for attending the recruitment test.
- Declaration: Your signed application confirms that the information you provide is complete and correct. Suppressed, false or incorrect information can lead to cancellation of your candidature or engagement, including when it is discovered later.
