ANGRAU IT Cell Research Associate and Young Professional Recruitment 2026: Overview

Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) is filling a Research Associate, a Young Professional-II (YP-II) and a Young Professional-I (YP-I) position in its IT Cell at the Administrative Office in Lam, Guntur. All three are purely temporary, contractual engagements of up to 11 months, and the university is picking people through a single walk-in interview instead of a written exam.

The desirable skills in the notice point to hands-on work on networks, web and mobile applications, systems integration and ERP solutions. If you are a computer science or IT graduate — from a fresh B.Tech holder to a Ph.D. researcher — and want practical experience running a university's tech, one of these three roles should fit you.

Posts and Disciplines

• Research Associate: the senior role in the cell. It is open to Ph.D. holders in Computer Science and Engineering or IT, or to Master's degree holders in Computer Science/IT who also bring qualifying work experience from a recognised institution. Your pay depends on whether you hold a Master's or a Ph.D., and HRA is added on top at state government rates. The cell would like experience in distributed systems, AI/ML, cyber security, web or mobile app development, and a basic grasp of DevOps and ERP solutions.
• Young Professional-II (YP-II): for B.E./B.Tech graduates in CSE, IT, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or Computer Networks, or M.E./M.Tech holders in Computer Applications, IT, Computer Science, AI, Operating Systems, Software Engineering or Computer Graphics. Strong programming, data structures and computer networks knowledge is what the cell is looking for, along with the same systems, AI/ML, security and app-development exposure as the RA post. This post carries a fixed monthly pay.
• Young Professional-I (YP-I): the entry-level role for B.E./B.Tech graduates in the same computing branches. Hands-on experience in network configuration and computer hardware is the desirable extra, so this post leans towards infrastructure and hardware support.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement ends automatically after 11 months or when the university fills the regular post, whichever comes first.
• No claim to a regular job: Working here gives you no right to a regular appointment in the university or any government organisation, and no right to an extension of the contract.
• Termination: The university can end the contract at any time without notice or giving reasons.
• Leaving early: You can resign by giving one month's notice, or by paying one month's salary instead.
• Medical check: Selected candidates must clear a medical examination at their own cost before joining.
• No TA/DA: You bear your own travel costs for the interview.
• Canvassing: Hiding facts or canvassing in any form leads to disqualification, or termination even after you join.
• Schedule can change: The Registrar can cancel or postpone the interview for unavoidable reasons, and the selection committee's decision is final.

Application Submission Notes

Bring the filled-in application form — its format is printed at the end of the notification — to the Registrar Section, IAB, ANGRAU, Lam, Guntur, and register your name before 10.30 AM on the interview day. Carry your original certificates and one photocopy set; the form also asks for your publication record and a signed declaration accepting the contract terms.

Several other ANGRAU walk-in interviews planned for late October 2026 were postponed because of the Model Code of Conduct for local body elections.
