Ananthapuramu District PwBD Recruitment 2026 — 6 Posts

The Government of Andhra Pradesh, through the Department of Welfare of Differently Abled, Transgender & Senior Citizens, has launched this Special Recruitment Drive (SRD) to fill up long-pending backlog vacancies for differently abled persons in Ananthapuramu District. This drive covers posts under both the District Selection Committee (DSC) and Other Than District Selection Committee (ODSC). Only local candidates from the erstwhile Ananthapuramu District (before restructuring on 04.02.2022) can apply.

Vacancy Breakdown

A total of 6 vacancies are available, split across two categories:

Annexure-A: Other Than Group IV Vacancies (3 Posts)

Annexure-B: Carry Forward Vacancies (3 Posts)

Note: The carry forward vacancies (Annexure-B) are open to all categories of differently abled persons.

Who Can Apply?

You must be a Differently Abled person (PwBD) with a minimum 40% disability certified by a medical authority. You must also be a local candidate of erstwhile Ananthapuramu District (before 04.02.2022) and hold a valid Employment Registration.

Librarian (Post Code 001)

• Intermediate with CLIS (Certificate in Library and Information Science) from Board of Intermediate Education, OR
• Bachelor's Degree in BLIS or Master's Degree in MLIS from a recognized university
• Must have Computer Knowledge (as per Corrigendum dated 02.04.2026)

Office Subordinate (Post Code 002)

• Must have passed VII Class examination
• Must be able to ride a bicycle

Lab Technician Gr-II (Post Code 003)

• SSC with Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT) recognized by Govt. of A.P., OR
• 2 years Intermediate vocational course in DMLT with one year clinical training in selected Govt. Hospitals, OR
• B.Sc. Medical Lab Technology, OR
• B.Sc. with BZC in first class / B.Sc. (Life Science) in first class with P.G. Diploma in Medical Lab Technology from NIMS Hyderabad or SVIMS Tirupati
• Must be registered with A.P. Para Medical Board

Cook (Post Code 004)

• Must be able to read and write in Telugu
• Must have one year experience in cooking

Watchman (Post Code 005)

• Must have passed V Class or its equivalent
• Must be an ex-Serviceman or trained in Civil Defense or as a Home Guard
• Must be able to ride a bicycle

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 52 years (includes 10 years age relaxation for Differently Abled persons)
• Age as on: 01 July 2026
• Age relaxation is as per Rule 12(v) of A.P. S.S.S.R., 1996 and G.O.Ms.No. 109, dated 08-10-2025

Salary

Pay scales under Revised Pay Scales (RPS) 2022:

• Librarian (Post Code 001): Rs. 28,280 — 89,720 per month
• Office Subordinate (Post Code 002): Rs. 20,000 — 61,960 per month
• Lab Technician Gr-II (Post Code 003): Rs. 27,500 — 87,480 per month
• Cook (Post Code 004): Rs. 20,000 — 61,960 per month
• Watchman (Post Code 005): Rs. 20,000 — 61,960 per month

In addition to basic pay, you will get Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other allowances as per Andhra Pradesh government rules.

Selection Process

There is no written exam or interview for this recruitment. Selection is purely merit-based, scored out of 100 marks:

1. Age — 35 Marks: Higher marks for older candidates
2. Severity of Disability — 30 Marks: Higher disability percentage gets more marks
3. Qualification (Requisite/Additional) — 25 Marks: Academic marks in qualifying exam
4. Employment Seniority — 10 Marks: Based on your Employment Registration date

Important: For the Librarian post, as per the Corrigendum, selection falls under the District Selection Committee (DSC). Written exams and oral interviews are waived, and selection is based on marks obtained in qualifying academic examinations.
