A&N Administration Group C Recruitment 2026 - 1535 Posts

The Andaman & Nicobar Administration has released Advertisement No. 01/ML/2026 for Common Matric Level posts in different departments. This recruitment covers 193 post codes under Group C, including office support, driver, field, technical, forest, health, agriculture, education, shipping, revenue, and local body posts. The first stage is a Tablet Based Test (TBT), followed by qualifying physical, skill, or trade tests wherever the selected post needs them.

The annexure gives separate eligibility, pay level, reservation, and test requirement for every post code. You should read the post-wise annexure before choosing your preference because some posts need driving licences, ITI/trade certificates, physical standards, or department-specific skills.

Who Can Apply?

Basic Qualification

• Minimum qualification: You need Matriculation / 10th pass for the common matric-level posts.
• Post-specific qualification: Some posts need an ITI certificate, survey/draughtsman training, driving licence, trade skill, or physical fitness as listed against the post code.
• Preference choice: You should choose only those posts for which you meet the education, age, physical, and skill conditions.
• Document check: Your certificates will be checked during online document verification after the examination stage.

Reservation and Domicile Conditions

• Reserved seats: ST, OBC, EWS, PwD and ESM reservation will follow the vacancy table and A&N Administration rules.
• Reserved-category claim: You must produce the correct category certificate when the Administration asks for it.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Group C male candidates: Up to 33 years.
• Group C female candidates: Up to 38 years.
• Age reference date: Age is counted as on the closing date of online application, which is 28 June 2026.
• Relaxation: ST gets 5 years, OBC gets 3 years, PwD gets 10 to 15 years depending on category, and ESM gets relaxation after deducting military service as per rules.
• Government employees: Central Government civilian employees with at least 3 years regular service can get relaxation up to 40 years, and up to 45 years for ST.

Salary

• Pay Level 1: Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900 per month.
• Pay Level 2: Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month.
• Pay Level 3: Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month.
• Pay Level 4: Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month.
• Pay Level 5: Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month.
• Allowances: DA, HRA, TA and other allowances will apply as per A&N Administration and government rules.

Physical Standards

• Physical standards apply only to selected post codes such as Forest Guard, Security Inspector, Janjati Sevak and other field posts where the annexure says so.
• Forest Guard example: The annexure lists height, chest and endurance-test standards separately for male, female and ST candidates.
• Qualifying nature: Physical standard, physical endurance, skill and trade tests are qualifying stages for the posts where they apply.

Application Fee

• All candidates except exempted groups must pay Rs. 100.
• No fee: Female candidates, ST candidates and Persons with Benchmark Disability are exempted.
• Payment mode: Net Banking, Visa/Master/RuPay card, Credit/Debit Card, UPI or QR payment through the online portal.

Selection Process

The selection has one common online examination and then post-specific qualifying stages where needed.

1. Tablet Based Test (Tier I): 150 questions for 150 marks in 120 minutes. PwBD candidates eligible for scribe get extra compensatory time.
2. Physical / Skill / Trade Test (Tier II): Conducted only for post codes where the annexure lists it as required. This stage is qualifying in nature.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must upload original certificates on the A&N Administration website for verification.
4. Final Merit and Post Allotment: Merit will be based on TBT performance, post preference, reservation and successful completion of applicable qualifying stages.
