AIIMS Raipur Senior Resident (Non-Academic) Recruitment 2026 - 93 Posts
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur (AIIMS Raipur) is a premier healthcare and teaching institute in Chhattisgarh, set up under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This recruitment covers Senior Resident vacancies in 34 departments, ranging from Anaesthesiology and General Medicine to specialties like Surgical Oncology, Neurosurgery, and Nuclear Medicine. The tenure is up to 3 years under the GoI Residency Scheme. Who Can Apply?
For All Departments (except School of Public Health):
- Qualification: You need a Postgraduate Medical Degree such as MD / MS / DNB / Diploma in the relevant discipline from a recognized university or institute.
- You must have NMC (National Medical Commission) or State Medical Council registration.
- Candidates who have been declared successful in their qualifying degree exam and will complete their tenure on or before the date of interview are also eligible.
For School of Public Health:
- Qualification: You need MD / DNB in Community Medicine or PSM (Preventive and Social Medicine) from a recognized university or institute.
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 45 years (as on last date of receipt of application form)
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years relaxation (up to 50 years)
- OBC candidates: 3 years relaxation (up to 48 years)
- PwBD (General): 10 years relaxation (up to 55 years)
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years relaxation (up to 58 years)
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years relaxation (up to 60 years)
- Ex-Servicemen: 5 years additional relaxation over category relaxation
Salary
- Selected candidates will get a basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month under Level-11, Cell No. 01 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
- The pay range for Level-11 goes up to Rs. 2,08,700 per month.
- You will also receive NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance) if applicable, along with DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Central Government rules.
- Note: Senior Residents are not entitled to Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity or Medical Attendance Treatment benefits.

Selection Process
Selection will be done through interview. Here is how it works:
- Short-listing (if needed): If a large number of applications are received, candidates may be short-listed based on bio-data, educational qualification, and experience. A screening test (computer-based or offline) may be conducted for this purpose.
- Interview: The interview will be held at AIIMS Raipur campus, Tatibandh, G.E. Road, Raipur (C.G.) 492099. Final selection will be based on interview performance.
- Document Verification: You must bring all original certificates and documents at the time of interview.
- Medical Examination: Selected candidates must be declared medically fit by a competent Medical Board.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Responsibilities
- Attend to patients in the assigned department and provide clinical care under the guidance of senior faculty
- Assist in surgeries, procedures, and diagnostic evaluations in your specialty department
- Manage ward duties including patient admissions, discharges, and round documentation
- Handle emergency cases during duty hours and provide timely medical intervention
- Maintain detailed case records, treatment plans, and discharge summaries for all patients
- Participate in academic activities such as journal clubs, case presentations, and departmental meetings
- Work in rotational shifts including night duties and weekend coverage as per the departmental roster
- Follow all institutional protocols, infection control guidelines, and patient safety standards
