AIIMS Kalyani Tutor Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Kalyani, a statutory institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, is engaging non-academic Tutors for Community and Family Medicine (CMFM) and Physiology. AIIMS Kalyani was created under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana to strengthen tertiary healthcare and medical education in the region. This is a walk-in, tenure-based engagement for candidates who want hands-on teaching and departmental experience at an Institute of National Importance in West Bengal.

The role is full-time and closely connected with undergraduate medical training, demonstrations, practical sessions and departmental academic work. Medical graduates can be considered for both departments, while the notice also provides a non-medical route in the relevant Physiology specialty. You should choose the department that matches your qualification and bring a separate form and fee if you want to be considered for more than one department.

Posts and Disciplines

• Community and Family Medicine (CMFM): support teaching and practical work connected with community health, field-oriented medical training and the department's academic activities.
• Physiology: help with physiology demonstrations, practical classes, laboratory preparation and academic records. The notice also recognizes the stated non-medical master's route for this discipline.

Post-wise Duties

CMFM Tutor

You will help the CMFM department prepare teaching sessions, demonstrations and community-based learning activity. Your work may connect classroom teaching with rural or urban health centres attached to AIIMS Kalyani, depending on the institute's assignment.

Physiology Tutor

You will support Physiology practical classes, demonstrations, laboratory readiness and student academic records. You may also help faculty coordinate teaching material and routine departmental work for medical trainees.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: the engagement is contractual for a maximum of one year and is governed by the applicable CCS Temporary Service Rules.
• Whole-time work: private practice of any kind is prohibited during the appointment.
• Attached centres: the institute may post Tutors to rural or urban health centres linked with AIIMS Kalyani for a period decided by the institute.
• Accommodation: campus housing is subject to availability. If accommodation cannot be provided, eligible appointees may receive HRA under the applicable rules.
• Interview expenses: AIIMS Kalyani will not pay TA, DA or accommodation for attending the walk-in.
• Waiting list: the institute may use the interview merit list to fill a place that opens because a selected candidate does not join or later resigns.
• Vacancy control: AIIMS Kalyani may change the positions or amend or cancel the notice according to institutional needs and Government of India rules.
• Conduct: canvassing leads to disqualification, and false or hidden information can result in cancellation or removal after appointment.

Application Submission Notes

Bring the prescribed form and self-attested supporting documents to the Administrative Building, first-floor Committee Room, AIIMS Kalyani, Basantapur, Nadia, West Bengal 741245. Reporting starts at 9:00 AM, document checking starts at 9:30 AM and interviews begin at 10:00 AM. Candidates reporting after 10:00 AM will not be allowed.

Pay the applicable fee through a Demand Draft in favour of “AIIMS KALYANI INTERNAL RESOURCES ACCOUNT” payable at Kalyani. Use a separate form and Demand Draft for each department if you apply to both.
