All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal (AIIMS Bhopal) has released Advertisement No. AIIMS Bhopal/SR (Non-Acad.)/2026/06 for backlog Senior Resident vacancies. The recruitment is for temporary Senior Resident posts at the Bhopal campus, and the interview schedule will be uploaded later. Who Can Apply?

• Main qualification: You need a postgraduate medical degree such as MD, MS, or DNB in the relevant specialty from an NMC-recognised institution or an Institute of National Importance.
• Registration: You must hold valid registration with the NMC or State Medical Council.
• Degree completion: Your qualifying degree exam result and degree tenure must be completed on or before the date of interview.
• Super-specialty departments: Relevant MD/MS/DNB holders may apply where the department allows it.
• Trauma and Emergency Medicine: MD/MS/DNB in Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, or Anaesthesiology is accepted.
• Service limit: You cannot be considered if you have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency.
• NOC requirement: If you work in a government, semi-government, autonomous institution, or PSU, you need a No Objection Certificate at the interview.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 45 years as on the date of interview.
• OBC relaxation: Up to 3 years for OBC candidates in the Central List.
• SC/ST relaxation: Up to 5 years.
• PwBD relaxation: 10 years for General, 13 years for OBC, and 15 years for SC/ST candidates.

Salary

• Selected Senior Residents will get Rs. 67,700 per month at Level 11, Cell 1 under the 7th CPC.
• The Pay Level 11 range is Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month.
• You will also get usual allowances including NPA as per rules.

Application Fee

• General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 1,500
• SC / ST / PwBD: No fee
• Payment mode: Demand Draft in favour of Executive Director, AIIMS Bhopal.
• Refund rule: The fee will not be refunded after payment.
• A separate fee is needed if you apply for more than one department.

Selection Process

The backlog drive selection will be conducted by AIIMS Bhopal after applications are received.

1. Interview: The interview will be held at AIIMS Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The date and department-wise schedule will be uploaded on the official website.
2. Document Verification: You must bring original documents and one self-attested copy set with the application printout, including degree certificates, registration proof, ID proof, photos, category certificate, NOC, and experience certificate where applicable.
3. Medical Examination: Final appointment depends on medical fitness as checked by authorised medical authorities.

Tie rule: If more than one person gets the same marks in the interview, AIIMS Bhopal will use date of birth to decide ranking, with the older person placed higher. The notice also says no TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection process, so you should plan travel to Bhopal accordingly.
