Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) Medical Officer Recruitment 2026
ACTREC is a grant-in-aid institute of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, and functions as part of the Tata Memorial Centre, one of India's leading cancer treatment and research networks. Under advertisement number ACTREC/ADVT.149/2026, the Department of Medical Administration has invited candidates for a walk-in interview to fill the post of Medical Officer on an ad-hoc basis at its Kharghar campus. As a Medical Officer here, you will work closely with the Emergency Department (ED), handling critically ill oncology patients alongside senior emergency physicians. Freshers are welcome to apply — this is a good entry point for MBBS graduates who want hands-on emergency and oncology care experience at a premier cancer institute.
Depending on the hospital's requirement, ACTREC may also place selected Medical Officers in the Daycare unit or general wards instead of the Emergency Department, so you should be comfortable working across different patient-care settings within the Centre.
Who Can Apply?
- Qualification: MBBS degree with valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC).
- Experience: Freshers can apply. If you have more than 1 year of experience in oncology and/or hold a BLS (Basic Life Support) or ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, you will be given preference.
- Work Setting: You should be ready to work in the Emergency Department, Daycare unit or wards, based on the hospital's requirement.
Age Limit
- You should be up to 35 years old, calculated as on the advertisement date (28 July 2026).
Salary
- Selected candidates will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 99,000 to Rs. 1,14,000 per month, based on your work experience.
- The appointment is initially for one year, extendable depending on the Centre's requirements.
- You will also be part of a busy, well-established Emergency Department that treats oncology cases from across the Tata Memorial Centre network.
Selection Process (No Written Exam)
ACTREC will select candidates directly through an interview, with no written test involved:
- Document Verification: When you arrive, the recruitment cell will check your bio-data, a recent passport size photograph, and original plus photocopies of your Aadhar card, PAN card, educational qualification certificates and work experience certificates.
- Interview: A selection panel will assess your qualification, clinical experience and suitability for the Medical Officer role in the Emergency Department, Daycare unit or wards.
Both walk-in and Zoom candidates go through the same document check and interview process — only the mode of appearing differs.
