About This Job
Apply for ACTREC HBNI Fellowship in Molecular Haemato Oncology. MD/DNB Pathology eligible. Salary: Rs 1,33,623-1,45,530. Walk-in: 27 Aug 2026.
ACTREC HBNI Fellowship Recruitment 2026: Overview
Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), a Tata Memorial Centre unit supported by the Department of Atomic Energy, is offering the HBNI Fellowship in Molecular Haemato Oncology through its Haematopathology Department. This is a structured clinical-academic fellowship for pathology postgraduates who want focused exposure to blood cancers, laboratory diagnosis and specialist oncology practice. The fellow is expected to join immediately and remain engaged for the full fellowship tenure.
The training sits within the Tata Memorial Centre cancer-care system, giving you a setting where diagnostic pathology, clinical decisions and research questions meet. The notification treats the programme as an HBNI fellowship rather than a regular staff appointment, so you should view it as advanced professional training with institutional academic requirements. For medical graduates covered by the relevant Maharashtra government rule, the fellowship may also count toward the applicable postgraduate service bond.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Fixed fellowship term: the programme runs for two years and is scheduled to continue up to the stated project end, subject to joining and institutional rules.
- HBNI academic dues: fellows must pay the university's admission, enrollment, tuition, appraisal, examination, library and convocation charges. Part of these dues is paid at joining and the balance is recovered from the monthly stipend.
- Early exit: fees already paid are forfeited if you discontinue or resign during the fellowship, and the notification also provides for a substantial penalty plus GST.
- Accommodation: hostel space on the ACTREC campus may be available, but allotment depends on availability and is not guaranteed.
- Shortlisting discretion: Tata Memorial Centre may set a higher benchmark, restrict the number called, or use an MCQ screen when the response is large.
- Final decision: meeting the basic qualification does not guarantee an interview or selection; the Director's decision on benchmarks and the final choice will apply.
