The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has issued Advertisement No. DME/AAHC/2026/87 dated 24 July 2026 to fill 22 Part Time Member positions on the Assam Allied and Healthcare Council. AAHC is the state body responsible for registering and regulating allied and healthcare professionals — such as those working in laboratory sciences, physiotherapy, radiography, optometry, and related paramedical fields — and for setting standards for their education and practice in Assam. Part Time Members bring practical, on-ground field experience to guide the council's decisions on registration, discipline, and professional standards. These members will represent their respective paramedical and allied healthcare categories on the council on a contractual, part-time basis. The role is best suited to senior professionals with strong domain experience in their paramedical field who want to contribute to healthcare regulation and standard-setting in Assam.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Diploma, Graduate, or Postgraduate degree in a relevant paramedical or allied healthcare discipline.
• Experience: At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in your field.
• Domicile: You must be a permanent resident of Assam.
• You should have a strong professional standing and practical field knowledge in your allied healthcare category, since the council relies on members' domain expertise for its regulatory decisions.
