Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), a Grant-in-Aid Institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, has released a notification (Advt No. TMC/PUNJAB/AD/04/2026, with corrigendum) to fill 10 permanent posts at Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, New Chandigarh, and Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, Sangrur, both in Punjab. The recruitment covers seven Medical Officer specialities - Anesthesiology, Interventional Radiology, Critical Care, Medical Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, Pathology, and Surgical Oncology - plus an Officer-in-Charge (Dispensary) and two Assistant Dietician posts. Who Can Apply?

Medical Officer 'G' (Anesthesiology) - Level 13A:

• You need an M.D. / D.N.B. in Anesthesia or an equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the National Medical Commission, along with 13 years of post-MD experience in Anesthesia at a teaching hospital.

Medical Officer 'F' (Interventional Radiology) - Level 13:

• You need a D.M. (Interventional Radiology) with 5 years of experience, OR an M.D./D.N.B. (Radio-diagnosis) with 8 years of post-PG experience.

Medical Officer 'E' Posts (Critical Care, Medical Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, Pathology, Surgical Oncology) - Level 12:

• Critical Care: D.M. (Critical Care), or M.D./D.N.B. in Anaesthesia/General Medicine/Pulmonary Medicine/Pediatrics with 3 years of Critical Care experience.
• Medical Oncology (Solid Tumor): D.M./D.N.B. (Medical Oncology); 1 year of Solid Tumor experience is desirable.
• Nuclear Medicine: M.D./D.N.B. (Nuclear Medicine) with 3 years of post-PG teaching hospital experience.
• Pathology: D.M. (Onco-pathology/Haemato-pathology) or M.D./D.N.B. (Pathology) with 3 years of experience.
• Surgical Oncology: M.Ch./D.N.B. (Surgical Oncology) or an equivalent postgraduate degree.

Officer-in-Charge (Dispensary) - Level 10:

• You need a B.Pharm degree with a PG Diploma/Degree in Material Management or Business Administration and 5 years' experience in a 300-bed hospital dispensary, OR an MBBS with the same PG qualification and 4 years' experience. Knowledge of computerized inventory management and the Drugs and Cosmetics Act is required.

Assistant Dietician (Food Service) - Level 06:

• You need an M.Sc. in Food Science & Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics, or Home Science (Food & Nutrition) with at least 1 year of experience after your PG degree. Registered Dieticians (RD) with Oncology Nutrition experience are preferred.

Age Limit

• Age limits vary by post: up to 55 years for Medical Officer 'G', up to 50 years for Medical Officer 'F', up to 45 years for Medical Officer 'E' posts, up to 40 years for Officer-in-Charge (Dispensary), and up to 30 years for Assistant Dietician.
• Age and experience are calculated as on 10 August 2026.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD (plus 5 years for SC/ST or 3 years for OBC), and length of armed forces service plus 3 years for Ex-servicemen. Relaxation does not apply to reserved candidates if the post is unreserved.

Salary

• Pay ranges from Rs. 35,400 per month (Level 06, Assistant Dietician) to Rs. 1,31,100 per month (Level 13A, Medical Officer 'G') under the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per TMC rules, plus medical facility, residential accommodation (subject to availability), and pension benefits under the New Pension Scheme.

Application Fee

• General / UR / EWS: Rs. 300 (pay online using Debit Card or Credit Card).
• SC / ST / Female / PwBD / Ex-servicemen (applying for a civil post for the first time): No fee.
• The application fee, once paid, will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process

The selection process depends on the post:

1. Medical Officer Posts (Sr. No. 1-8): Selection is through Interview only - there is no written exam.
2. Assistant Dietician Posts (Sr. No. 9-10): Selection includes a Written Examination worth 100 marks (MCQ or MCQ & Subjective) based on your area of specialization, followed by an Interview.
3. Document Verification: Carry your original certificates plus one photocopy set for date of birth, qualifications, experience, and caste/EWS/disability proof - you will not be allowed to appear otherwise.

TMC reserves the right to set minimum eligibility standards and cut-off marks, and to restrict the number of candidates called for the written test, interview, or skill test.
