TMC Counselor Recruitment 2026: Overview
Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), a grant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, is filling Counselor posts on a project at its Centre for Cancer Epidemiology (CCE), located on the ACTREC campus in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. The project gets phone calls from people in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa, which is why the notice puts so much weight on regional languages. Selection is through a single walk-in interview, and the job lasts only as long as the project. Psychology and social work graduates who are comfortable speaking with the public in several languages are the people TMC is looking for.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Languages: Fluency in Hindi and English is a must, along with at least one of Marathi, Konkani or Gujarati.
- Computer use: You need working knowledge of basic computer applications.
- Two pay rates: TMC pays graduates and postgraduates differently; check the salary details on this page for both amounts.
- Who gets preference: Holders of a postgraduate degree in Psychology or an MSW in medical and psychiatric social work, and anyone with prior experience in tobacco control.
- Duration: Six months to start with, or till the project continues, whichever is earlier.
