TGPSC is hiring 24 Deputy Educational Officers / Gazetted Head Master Grade-I for the School Education Department in Telangana. Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Deputy Educational Officer / Gazetted Head Master Grade-I Recruitment 2026 - 24 Posts

TGPSC has released Notification No. 03/G/SE/2026 to fill 24 gazetted posts of Deputy Educational Officer / Gazetted Head Master Grade-I in the School Education Department, spread across Multi Zone-I (10 posts) and Multi Zone-II (14 posts). Multi Zone-I broadly covers northern Telangana districts such as Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Warangal, while Multi Zone-II covers Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Nalgonda and the southern districts. Selection is entirely through a written objective exam — there is no interview or physical test. This is a good opportunity for postgraduate teachers looking to move into a gazetted administrative role within Telangana's school education system, overseeing academics, staff and infrastructure at the school or district level.

Who Can Apply?

• You must have a Bachelor's Degree with subjects eligible for admission into a B.Ed. course from a UGC-recognised university.
• You must also have a Post Graduate Degree with not less than 55% marks (relaxed to 50% for SC/ST/BC/differently-abled candidates) from a UGC-recognised university.
• You must be an Indian citizen with good character and antecedents.
• Candidates who studied through Open University/Distance Education must hold degrees recognised by the UGC/AICTE/Distance Education Bureau.
• 95% of posts are reserved for local candidates as per Multi-Zone rules under G.O.Ms.No.124; applicants from other states are not entitled to any reservation.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 44 years old as on 1 July 2026 (the upper limit was raised from 34 to 44 years vide G.O.Ms.No.86).
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates get 5 years, Persons with Disabilities get 10 years, Telangana government employees get up to 5 years based on length of regular service, and Ex-servicemen/NCC instructors get 3 years plus service rendered.
• No candidate above 61 years (superannuation age) is eligible even after availing relaxation.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 58,850 to Rs. 1,37,050 per month as per the Telangana pay matrix.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Telangana government rules.

Application Fee

• Application processing fee — OC/BC: Rs. 1,000; SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 500.
• Examination fee — Rs. 120 for all applicants; unemployed candidates are exempted from this fee.
• Candidates already employed with any Central/State Government, PSU or Corporation must pay the examination fee.
• Payment mode: Online via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI. Fees once paid are non-refundable.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through:

1. Written Examination (Objective Type, CBRT/OMR-based): Paper-I (General Studies and General Abilities) and Paper-II (Basic Foundations of Education + Educational Leadership, Administration & Management), for a total of 450 marks.
2. Document Verification of original certificates
3. Medical Examination to confirm fitness for the post

You need 40% marks (OC/Sports/EWS), 35% (BC) or 30% (SC/ST/PH) to qualify. Final selection is based on your merit rank against the vacancies available in your Multi Zone. If two candidates score equal marks, preference goes first to local-status candidates and then to the older candidate by date of birth.

2. Log in with your TGPSC ID and fill up the online application form.
3. Verify your OTR details (name, date of birth, qualifications, community, etc.) displayed on screen.
4. Select your preferred examination centre from Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal or Nizamabad.
5. Pay the application processing fee and examination fee online.
6. Click Confirm & Submit, then download your submitted application PDF for future reference.
