Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering OR Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a university established by a Central or State Act, or from an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) / All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), or you can be an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE).
• Qualification date: You must hold this qualification as on the date of notification, i.e. 02 June 2026. Your degree result must already have been declared by this date — merely appearing for the final exam is not enough.
• Distance Education: If you completed your degree through an Open University or distance education mode, it must be recognized by the UGC / AICTE / Distance Education Bureau to be accepted.
• Equivalent Qualification: If your degree is not an exact match to what is listed above, TGPSC will refer your case to an Expert Committee, and its decision on whether your qualification is equivalent will be final.
• Reservations: Vacancies are reserved for SC, ST, BC, and EWS candidates, and for Persons with Disabilities, with horizontal reservation for women and meritorious sportspersons, as per the Telangana State & Subordinate Service Rules, 1996.
• Registration: You must complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the TGPSC website before applying, if you have not already registered for an earlier TGPSC notification.
• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 44 years old as on 01 July 2026.
• Note: The upper age limit for this recruitment was raised by 10 years, from 34 to 44 years, as per G.O.Ms.No.86, General Administration (Ser.A) Department, dated 18 May 2026.
• If you belong to the SC, ST, BC, EWS, or differently-abled categories and use age relaxation, you will still be considered for Open Category (OC) vacancies if you qualify on merit.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 54,220 to Rs. 1,33,630 per month based on the pay scale fixed for this post.
• You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Telangana Government rules.

Selection Process

Your selection will be based on the following stage:

1. Written Examination (Objective Type): TGPSC will conduct this exam either in OMR-based offline mode or Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) mode. The Commission will announce the exact mode through a web note and in your hall ticket. If the exam is held in multiple sessions, results will be calculated on a percentile basis after normalization.

The written exam is tentatively scheduled for October 2026. Keep checking the TGPSC website regularly for the exact schedule, since no individual correspondence will be sent to you.
