SAIL is hiring 2 Nursing Tutors at the IISCO Steel Plant Nursing Training School, Burnpur Hospital, West Bengal. If you have a BSc Nursing / Post Basic BSc Nursing / MSc Nursing degree (freshers also eligible) from an INC/SNRC recognised institute, you can appear for a walk-in interview on 28 May 2026. Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a Maharatna Company, has released advertisement number 2026-27/Hospital/04 dated 12 May 2026 for engagement of 2 Nursing Tutors at its IISCO Steel Plant (ISP) Nursing Training School in Burnpur. Freshers with BSc Nursing are eligible, and selection will be through a walk-in interview - no online registration is required. The engagement is for an initial period of one year, extendable by another year based on performance.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• BSc (Nursing) / Post Basic BSc (Nursing) / MSc (Nursing) from a recognised institute or college affiliated to the Indian Nursing Council (INC) / State Nursing Council (SNRC) - freshers are also eligible
• OR Diploma in Nursing Education & Administration from an INC-affiliated institute with 2 years of professional experience

Other Requirements

• You must be an Indian national
• You must be registered under the Nursing Council of India and possess a valid Registration Certificate
• Candidates with relevant post-qualification work experience will be given preference

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 35 years as on the date of advertisement (12 May 2026)
• Age relaxation will be as per Presidential Directives on reservation

Salary

• Monthly consolidated remuneration: Rs. 30,000 per month
• Rate is applicable for a minimum of 8 hours per day for 6 days a week (48 hours per week); pro-rated for fewer hours
• 10 days paid leave per year plus Closed Holidays on National Holidays
• Accommodation: Shared Company accommodation in Nursing Hostel available if desired (no HRA payable)
• Medical Facility: Free medical benefits for self only at SAIL ISP Hospital, Burnpur
• Eligible for Maternity leave as per Maternity Benefit Act, 1961
• No PF, Gratuity or other benefits payable

Selection Process

Selection is through a single-stage walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: Held on 28 May 2026 at Burnpur Boys High School, near Bharati Bhawan, P.O. Burnpur, Paschim Bardhaman, Asansol, West Bengal - 713325. Reporting time is 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
2. Document Verification: Done at the time of walk-in interview. Candidates failing to produce original documents will not be allowed to appear.
3. Medical Fitness: Joining is subject to medical fitness verification.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview. In case of a large number of candidates, the interview may be staggered to the next working day.

2. Fill in the application with 2 passport-size colour photographs.

• Teach nursing students both in classrooms and clinical settings
• Mentor and guide student nurses in their academic and clinical practice
• Supervise nursing students during ward rounds and patient care duties
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and assessment papers
• Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments and clinical evaluations
• Maintain attendance records, training schedules and student progress reports
• Follow safety, discipline and professional ethics as per SAIL ISP Hospital norms
