RITES Limited, a Government of India Miniratna PSU and multi-disciplinary engineering and consultancy organisation, is engaging Individual Consultants for the post of NX Design Engineer under Vacancy Circular YP/13-R1/25. The engagement is for deployment at Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), Varanasi, where you will support 3D modelling work for locomotives and coaches using Siemens Unigraphics (UG NX) software. This is a CV-based consultancy assignment and not a regular RITES employee position - it suits mechanical engineers who already have hands-on NX design experience with rolling stock, coaches or railway PSU/OEM projects. The role also calls for someone who can explain technical designs clearly to multiple stakeholders, since RITES engineers coordinate closely with railway PSU clients on these coach and locomotive projects.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Engagement Status: You will hold the legal status of an Independent Consultant, not a RITES employee, and will not be eligible for PF, ESI, gratuity or other statutory benefits.
• Tenure: The tentative engagement period is 04 months, extendable by one year at a time based on a satisfactory annual performance review, up to a maximum age of 65 years.
• Deployment: The engagement is for a client site; issuing the offer letter and continuing your services both depend on the client's approval and continued requirement.
• Full-Time Basis: If engaged full-time, you cannot take up any other assignment during the consultancy period.
• Termination: RITES can end the appointment at any time without assigning a reason, and will generally give one month's notice; you must give RITES one month's notice too if you resign.
• Verification: Your engagement is subject to police verification as per Ministry of Home Affairs instructions.
• Travel: No TA/DA is paid for the interview, for joining, or on completion of the assignment.
