RITES Limited is hiring 1 retired Govt/PSU professional as a contract consultant for the Design of LWR (Long Welded Rail) Diagrams. This work is for the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, where RITES gives Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services to DFCCIL. RITES Limited Design LWR Diagram Consultant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

RITES Limited (A Navratna Enterprise of the Government of India) has released a short notice (No. PERS/9/6/WDFC/2026, dated 29 June 2026) to engage retired Government and PSU employees on a contract basis. Only retired professionals can apply for this role — it is meant for experienced people who have spent years on railway track design and want a fresh contract assignment. The selected person will prepare Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) and Long Welded Rail (LWR) plans for the freight corridor project at Noida.

Nature of Engagement

• The appointment is purely on a contract basis, initially for 6 months.
• It can be extended until the assignment is completed, based on mutual agreement and your performance.
• Your actual posting will depend on the approval of the client (DFCCIL).
• The work location is Noida.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university, OR a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution with at least 2 years of relevant experience after the diploma.
• Work Experience: You should have hands-on experience in preparing Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) and Long Welded Rail (LWR) plans, field work in CWR/LWR track works, and maintenance of long welded rails.
• Retired Status: This job is only for retired Government or PSU employees. You will need to submit your Pension Payment Order and service certificate as proof.
• Conduct: If any major or minor penalty was imposed on you during the last 5 years of your service, you cannot apply.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 63 years (as on 31 July 2026).

Salary

• The pay is negotiable and will be decided as per RITES company policy once your CV is approved by the client.
• This is a fixed monthly payment for a contract role — there are no extra government service benefits.

Selection Process

There is no written exam. Selection is based on your CV and approval by the client:

1. Registration: Register on the RITES website as a Consultant/Expert and submit your application.
2. Document Check: RITES checks your qualification, experience and retired-employee proofs.
3. CV Approval by Client: Your CV is sent to the client (DFCCIL). If the client approves it, you get the engagement.

Documents You Need

• 2 recent passport size colour photographs and your High School certificate for date of birth proof
• Certificates of your academic and professional qualifications, plus a detailed CV
• Pension Payment Order, service certificate and last pay-slip showing your last grade and basic pay
• PF number with your last employer, PAN card, and identity/address proof (Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, Aadhaar)
• Proof of the different periods of experience you have claimed

Good to Know

• This is a contract role for the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor project, not a permanent government job.
• It is open only to retired Government or PSU employees — keep your pension order and service certificate ready.
