OUAT Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026: Overview
Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) is engaging Guest Faculty for the College of Agriculture at its Bhubaneswar campus. This is a teaching requirement for the 2026-27 academic year across crop science, soil science, agricultural technology and extension subjects. The notice brings nine disciplines into one walk-in drive, so you should match your postgraduate subject carefully with the discipline named in the notification.
The engagement supports regular classroom work in the university's agriculture programmes. You will join the discipline corresponding to your master's degree, and academic quality matters: the college will also consider advanced qualifications and peer-reviewed research when assessing your profile. The arrangement is temporary and creates no right to a regular OUAT appointment.

- Entomology: teaching in insect science and crop-pest management within the agriculture programme.
- Soil Science: classroom support in soil properties, fertility and related agricultural studies.
- Agricultural Biotechnology: teaching biotechnology concepts used in crop and agricultural research.
- Agricultural Statistics: supporting quantitative methods, experimental design and data interpretation.
- Extension Education: teaching communication and knowledge-transfer approaches used with farming communities.
- Plant Breeding and Genetics: covering crop improvement, heredity and breeding principles.
- Nematology: teaching plant-parasitic nematodes and their role in crop health.
- Plant Physiology: covering plant growth, development and physiological processes.
- Seed Science and Technology: teaching seed production, quality and related technology.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Academic term: the engagement is for the 2026-27 academic year, but OUAT may end it before that year closes.
- Temporary status: the role does not create a claim to regular appointment at OUAT.
- Notice period: a Guest Faculty member who wants to leave must give one month's notice and wait for acceptance of the resignation.
- Panel validity: the resulting panel remains valid for one year, and the college may change its staffing requirement with approval.
- Travel support: OUAT will not reimburse travel or daily expenses for attending the walk-in interview.
- Schedule updates: if the interview cannot be held as planned, the university will post the revised arrangement on its website on the previous working day.
Application Submission Notes
This is a walk-in recruitment at the Committee Room, College of Agriculture, OUAT, Bhubaneswar. Bring your updated bio-data, original records and the specified copies and photographs for checking. If you already work elsewhere, also carry a no-objection certificate from your employer.
Reach the venue in time for registration and document checking before the interview. You must also bring the prescribed bank instrument in favour of the Comptroller, OUAT, Bhubaneswar. Keep checking the OUAT website before travelling, because any unavoidable change will be announced there.
