NIMHANS Multi-Post Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru has released advertisement NIMH/RECT/ADVT-1/B&C/2026-27 dated 8 June 2026. This notification covers three separate posts in the same application window, so the listing is combined as one NIMHANS multi-post recruitment. The selection includes a 100-mark MCQ eligibility test, followed by skill test and/or document verification.

• Experience: You need 3 years of experience in accounting and financial procedures, preferably including final accounts of central autonomous bodies.

Junior Secretarial Assistant

• Qualification: You need any bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
• Computer Course: You need 6 months training in computer course.
• Typing Norms: Before completing probation, the selected person must meet typing norms of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi on computer.
• Category: This post is notified for OBC candidates.

Age Limit

• Neuroanaesthesia Technologist: Upper age limit is 30 years.
• Accountant: Upper age limit is 30 years.
• Junior Secretarial Assistant: Upper age limit is 27 years.
• Age Reference Date: Age will be counted as on the last date for submission, 7 July 2026.
• Age Relaxation: ST gets 5 years, OBC gets 3 years, PwBD gets 10 years, PwBD + OBC gets 13 years, and PwBD + ST gets 15 years as per the notification.
• Central Government Civilian Employees: Relaxation is available for Group B and C posts based on category and regular continuous service, as explained in the notification.

Salary

• Neuroanaesthesia Technologist: Pay Level 6 with initial basic pay of Rs. 35,400 per month. Level 6 pay range is Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400.
• Accountant: Pay Level 6 with initial basic pay of Rs. 35,400 per month. Level 6 pay range is Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400.
• Junior Secretarial Assistant: Pay Level 2 with initial basic pay of Rs. 19,900 per month. Level 2 pay range is Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200.
• You will also get allowances as per Central Government/NIMHANS rules where admissible.

Application Fee

• Group B - Unreserved, OBC and EWS: Rs. 1,180 including 18% GST.
• Group B - ST: Rs. 885 including 18% GST.
• Group C - Unreserved, OBC and EWS: Rs. 885 including 18% GST.
• Group C - ST: Rs. 590 including 18% GST.
• PwBD applicants with 40% or more benchmark disability: No fee.
• Payment Mode: Fee must be paid through the online mode provided in the application form. Bank transaction charges, if any, are extra.

Selection Process

The selection process has two stages for these NIMHANS posts.

1. Stage I - MCQ Eligibility Test: The test will be for 100 marks and the duration will be 90 minutes. The medium will be English only.
2. Negative Marking: Each correct answer gives 1 mark, and each wrong answer carries 0.25 negative marking. No marks will be given for unanswered questions.
3. Stage II - Skill Test and/or Document Verification: NIMHANS will conduct skill test wherever applicable and final document verification after the skill test.
4. Typing Skill for JSA: Junior Secretarial Assistant must complete English typing at 35 wpm or Hindi typing at 30 wpm on computer before probation ends.

Qualifying marks: UR/EWS need 40%, OBC needs 35%, and SC/ST/PwBD need 30% in the eligibility test.
