NeGD Platform Engineering Head Recruitment 2026: Overview
National e-Governance Division (NeGD), a business division of Digital India Corporation under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, is hiring a Platform Engineering Head / Architect for a project engagement based in New Delhi. The post reports to the Director, NeGD, and sits within an organisation that supports digital government programmes across central ministries and state departments. The engagement is contractual, with continuation linked to project needs.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial tenure: The contract is initially for three years. NeGD may extend it if the project needs the position for longer; an extension is not promised.
- Posting and transfers: Your initial place of work is New Delhi. You may be moved to other NeGD project locations under the applicable NeGD/DIC policy.
- Project appointment: The engagement does not create a right to a permanent job at NeGD or DIC. It also gives you no claim over existing vacancies or positions advertised later.
- Ending the appointment: NeGD can end the engagement with one month of notice, or pay one month of salary instead of giving that notice.
- Designation: The title used in your appointment will follow NeGD’s existing designation policy.
- Recruitment discretion: NeGD may leave the advertised position unfilled. The notice also allows the organisation to make no selection without providing a reason.
जिम्मेदारियाँ
- Lead the architecture across the developer portal, source-code tools, delivery pipelines, project management and security layers.
- Set platform standards for cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, disaster recovery and automated policy checks.
- Manage the developer portal roadmap, reusable templates, plugins and access controls.
- Review the implementation agency’s designs, deliverables, service commitments and corrective actions.
- Plan migration and onboarding while protecting repositories, audit records and other project data.
- Assess AI tools for development, security and operations with audit trails and human oversight.
- Ensure complete operating guides, training, data handover and secure deletion when the engagement ends.
पात्रता मानदंड
न्यूनतम योग्यता
Full-time regular B.Tech./B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related engineering discipline. At deployment, hold at least one of: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
वांछित योग्यता
M.Tech./M.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering. Desirable certifications: CKAD, CKS, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, Certified Backstage Associate (if available), TOGAF 9, SAFe Architect and ITIL 4 Foundation.
