There is no written exam for this post — eligible candidates are interviewed directly by a Selection Committee. Who Can Apply?

For NET/SLET/SET Qualified Candidates (Rs. 45,000/month):

• Ph.D. or Master's Degree in Soil Science / relevant field along with NET/SLET/SET prescribed by UGC/ICAR
• NET/SLET/SET is not required if the discipline does not conduct these exams for the relevant Master's programme
• At least 2 years of experience in Research/Teaching/Extension Education
• Minimum 2 published papers in recognized journals with an ISSN number (short notes/short communications are not counted)

For Master's Degree Holders without NET/SLET/SET (Rs. 25,000/month):

• You can still apply with a Master's degree even without NET/SLET/SET, but your pay will be reduced to Rs. 25,000 per month as per University guidelines

Salary

• NET/SLET/SET qualified candidates (or Ph.D. holders) get a fixed pay of Rs. 45,000 per month.
• Master's degree holders without NET/SLET/SET get a reduced fixed pay of Rs. 25,000 per month.
• This is a consolidated fixed pay — no separate DA, HRA or other allowances are mentioned in the notification.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in these stages:

1. Screening and Scoring: The Associate Dean's office checks your eligibility and scores your academic qualification, employment record, publications, and other achievements on a structured evaluation sheet.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by a Selection Committee approved by the University. You have to attend at your own cost.
3. Document Verification: Bring all original certificates to the interview — your candidature will be rejected if you cannot produce them.

Note: If selected, you must work full-time for the entire contract period and cannot accept or hold any other paid appointment elsewhere. You can only resign by giving one month's prior notice or paying one month's fixed pay in lieu of notice.
