KRCL Multi-Post Recruitment 2026 — 36 Vacancies

Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) issued a corrigendum for Notification No. CO/P-R/11C/2026. The revised final walk-in date is 26 June 2026 for Technician / Electrical. The walk-in for Shunting Operator has been cancelled. Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a Government of India PSU under the Ministry of Railways, released Notification No. CO/P-R/11C/2026 dated 01 June 2026 for Mechanical / Project Department contract posts. The corrigendum dated 17 June 2026 revises the walk-in interview dates, cancels the Shunting Operator walk-in, and changes experience criteria for the two Project Engineer posts. • Yard Operations Supervisor: walk-in date revised from 22 June 2026 to 23 June 2026.
• Shunting Operator: walk-in interview is cancelled.
• Technician / Mechanical: walk-in date revised from 23 June 2026 to 24 June 2026.
• Technician / Electrical: walk-in date revised from 23 June 2026 to 26 June 2026.

Experience change: For Project Engineer / M&P and Project Engineer / Electrical Maintenance, the revised requirement is minimum 2 years post-qualification experience for degree holders or 4 years post-qualification experience for diploma holders in repair / maintenance of machinery and plants in workshops of Indian Railways or PSUs.

Vacancy Details

The original notification also listed 12 Shunting Operator posts, but the corrigendum cancels the walk-in interview for that post. Based on the official original vacancy table and the official cancellation, the active count is 24 vacancies.

Who Can Apply?

Project Engineer Posts

• Project Engineer / M&P: You need a degree or diploma in Mechanical, Production & Industrial, Automobile, Manufacturing, Mechatronic, Material Sciences, Metallurgical or related engineering discipline.
• Project Engineer / Electrical Maintenance: You need a degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related electrical sub-stream.
• Revised experience: You need 2 years post-qualification experience if you are a degree holder, or 4 years if you are a diploma holder, in repair / maintenance of machinery and plants in Indian Railways or PSU workshops.

Technician Posts

• Technician / Mechanical: You need an ITI certificate in the relevant mechanical or allied trade with relevant experience.
• Technician / Electrical: You need an ITI certificate in the relevant electrical or allied trade with relevant experience.

Yard Operations Supervisor

• Qualification: You need graduation in any discipline with relevant experience in yard operations or shunting work.

Age Limit

• Reference date: Age is counted as on 01 May 2026.
• Maximum age: Up to 55 years depending on the post, as stated in the original notification annexures.
• Relaxation: OBC-NCL candidates get 3 years and SC/ST candidates get 5 years when applying against the respective reserved category post. Ex-servicemen relaxation is discretionary.

Salary

• Project Engineer / M&P, Project Engineer / Electrical Maintenance and Yard Operations Supervisor: Rs. 50,060 to Rs. 57,140 per month, depending on city class.
• Technician / Mechanical and Technician / Electrical: Rs. 27,100 to Rs. 30,900 per month, depending on city class.
• The consolidated pay includes Basic, DA, HRA, Conveyance and Mobile Allowance.
• TA, travel facilities, leave, rest house / hotel reimbursement and other benefits apply as per KRCL policy.

Application Fee

• No application fee is mentioned in the original notification or corrigendum.

Selection Process

The selection process remains a walk-in based recruitment. KRCL may add a Group Discussion, written test or other elimination round depending on the number of candidates.

1. Walk-in registration: Report between 09:00 hrs and 12:00 hrs on the revised post-wise date.
2. Document screening: KRCL checks your prescribed application form, originals and self-attested copies.
3. Interview / elimination round: A nominated committee conducts the interview, and KRCL may add GD or written test if needed.
4. Medical examination: Selected candidates must pass the prescribed medical exam before joining.
