Kerala HC Sevak Recruitment 2026: Overview

The High Court of Kerala is preparing a list of candidates for engagement as Sevak. People from this list are picked by individual Judges of the High Court and work at the official residence of that Judge. It is a simple job with a low qualification bar, and candidates living in Ernakulam District get preference.

This is not a regular government post. It is a personal engagement tied to one Judge, and the service rules come from the Kerala High Court Sevak Rules, 2017.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tied to the Judge's term: Your engagement lasts only as long as the Judge who nominated you stays a Judge of the High Court of Kerala. It ends automatically when that Judge leaves office.
• Termination without notice: The Chief Justice can end the engagement at any time, on the Judge's recommendation or for any other reason.
• No guarantee of a job: Having your name in the list does not give you a right to be engaged. The choice of Sevak is entirely at the discretion of the Judge.
• Age counted at nomination: Your age is checked as on 1 January of the year the Judge nominates you, not as on the last date to apply.
• Original documents: You must show original proofs of address, age and qualification whenever asked; failing to do so cancels your candidature.

Application Submission Notes

Fill the application form given as Annexure with the notice and attach attested copies of your address, age and qualification proofs. Send it by post or deliver it by hand to The Registrar (Recruitment), High Court of Kerala, Ernakulam 682031. Write "Application for the post of Sevak" on the envelope. Late or incomplete applications, or those without the required documents, will be rejected straight away.

• Handle general household upkeep at the residence
• Run errands as needed
• Provide hospitality services to guests and visitors
• Follow the directions of the Honourable Judge
