JIPMER, Puducherry has released a notification for engaging 1 Project Technical Support-III (Project Manager/Assistant/Coordinator) in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Trauma. The position is attached to an ICMR-funded implementation research study on building a high-quality patient-centric emergency care model in selected districts of India, led by Principal Investigator Dr. Manu Ayyan. The project studies how to build a stronger, more coordinated emergency care system by working with urban and rural health facilities and district health authorities across Puducherry. The post is purely on contract basis for 6 months, extendable up to one year based on your performance and continued external funding. Candidates with public health, nursing or social work backgrounds and a good command of Tamil and English should apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Three years graduate degree in Public Health, Public Health Nursing, Social Work or Life Sciences with three years of relevant experience, OR a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject/field.
• Language: You must have a good command of Tamil and English — speaking, reading and writing.
• Preferred: Experience managing similar research projects is desirable.
• Your qualification and experience must be in a relevant discipline gained after acquiring the essential qualification, from a reputed institution.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 35 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 33,600 per month (Rs. 28,000 basic pay + Rs. 5,600 as 20% HRA).
• No allowances or facilities other than the consolidated salary will be provided, and the amount may vary from time to time.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Written Test: Covers your knowledge of Project Management, Research Methodology and Implementation Research.
2. Interview: Also covers Project Management, Research Methodology and Implementation Research, conducted in person.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the written test and interview, and no TA/DA will be paid for attending. If the number of applications is very large, JIPMER may apply more stringent shortlisting criteria.

Interviews will be conducted in person at the Department of Emergency Medicine and Trauma, JIPMER Puducherry, and the date and time will be notified one week in advance. Keep in mind this is a purely contractual position for an externally funded project — it does not create any claim to a regular post at JIPMER, and your engagement may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Principal Investigator based on the project's funding and progress.
