No. CO/HRM/35/2026) for 73 Executive posts on a regular basis. The vacancies are spread across 19 technical and 17 non-technical disciplines — including Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Mining, IT, Finance, Legal, Security, Medical, HRM and Company Secretary roles — for postings at IREL's plants in Odisha, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and its Corporate Office in Mumbai. Who Can Apply?

For Engineering & Technical Posts (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Mineral, Mining, Industrial Safety, Instrumentation, IT):

• You need a B.E./B.Tech (or equivalent) in the relevant engineering discipline, with 2 to 16 years of post-qualification experience depending on the grade you apply for.

For Commercial/Purchase Posts:

• B.E./B.Tech (any discipline) with 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or commercial functions.

For Geology Posts:

• M.Sc in Geology/Applied Geology with 6 years of relevant mining experience.

For Finance Posts:

• A qualified CA/CMA or B.Com with MBA (Finance), with 2 to 20 years of experience in financial management, treasury or audits depending on the grade.

For Legal Posts:

• LLB with 8 to 10 years of experience in contract management, arbitration or industrial law.

For Security Posts:

• Graduate Ex-Servicemen retired in the rank of Major/Captain (or equivalent) from the Army, Navy, Air Force or para-military forces, with 8 to 10 years of security management experience.

For Medical Posts:

• MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India, with 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

For Marketing & Sales Posts:

• B.E./B.Tech (any discipline), preferably with an MBA, and 5 to 16 years of experience in sales, marketing or business development.

For HRM Posts:

• MBA/MA/MSW in Human Resources (or LLB with HR postgraduate qualification for the Legal & HRM post), with 2 to 5 years of HR/IR experience.

For Rajbhasha Posts:

• Master's degree in Hindi with English as a subject (or vice versa), with 2 years of translation experience.

For Company Secretary Posts:

• Graduate with ICSI membership (passed the final CS examination), with 2 years of secretarial experience in a PSU or listed company.

All qualifications require a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates), except for qualified CAs, CMAs and CSs. If you currently work in Government or a PSU, you need at least two years' experience in the immediately lower pay scale to be eligible.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit ranges from 28 years for Assistant Manager (E-1) up to 50 years for General Manager (E-7), depending on the grade — see the vacancy table for post-wise details.
• Age is calculated as on 10 August 2026, the closing date for online applications.
• Age Relaxation: OBC (NCL) candidates get 3 years, SC/ST candidates get 5 years, and PwBD candidates get 10 to 15 years extra depending on their category. Ex-Servicemen get relaxation equal to their military service plus 3 years.
• Candidates from Government/PSU/autonomous bodies get 5 years relaxation, and IREL internal candidates get 10 years.
• In any case, your age (including all relaxations) cannot exceed 56 years.

Salary

• Assistant Manager (E-1): Rs. 40,000 – 1,40,000 per month (CTC around Rs. 13.35 lakh/year)
• Deputy Manager (E-2): Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000 per month (CTC around Rs. 16.69 lakh/year)
• Manager (E-3): Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000 per month (CTC around Rs. 20.02 lakh/year)
• Senior Manager (E-4): Rs. 70,000 – 2,00,000 per month (CTC around Rs. 23.36 lakh/year)
• Chief Manager (E-5): Rs. 80,000 – 2,20,000 per month (CTC around Rs. 26.70 lakh/year)
• Dy. General Manager (E-6): Rs. 90,000 – 2,40,000 per month (CTC around Rs. 30.04 lakh/year)
• General Manager (E-7): Rs. 1,00,000 – 2,60,000 per month (CTC around Rs. 33.38 lakh/year)
• On top of the CTC, you also get Performance Related Pay, HRA/company accommodation, medical facilities, PF, gratuity and a pension scheme.

Selection Process

IREL will select candidates through the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on your qualification, relevant experience and CTC details declared in the online application.
2. Personal Interview / Psychometric Test / Group Exercise: IREL may use one or a combination of these methods depending on the post and number of applicants. The company may also conduct a written test if required.
3. Document Verification: You must produce original certificates, mark sheets and experience proofs at the time of interview.
4. Pre-Employment Medical Examination: You need to be declared medically fit before joining.
5. Character & Antecedents Verification.

Selected candidates are placed on a waitlist valid for one year, which IREL may use if a similar vacancy arises.
