Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a Miniratna Schedule A central public sector enterprise, is recruiting General Managers and Deputy General Managers for leadership roles across its copper-mining and refined-copper business. This is a senior executive drive covering the operational and corporate functions that keep a multi-unit mining company running. The roles carry company-wide responsibility, so HCL is looking for professionals who can combine deep domain knowledge with decisions at senior-management level.

Post-wise Duties

Mining Leadership

You will guide underground operations and major projects while keeping safety, regulatory approvals and delivery aligned. The role also calls for practical judgement on mine development and coordination with technical teams.

Human Resources Leadership

You will shape workforce and industrial-relations policy, handle contract-labour matters, and support management on settlements, legal cases and board-level proposals. Experience in a multi-unit public-sector setting is particularly useful.

Finance Leadership

You will oversee financial reporting, budgets, costs, audits and treasury work and give management clear financial input for major proposals. The role spans both routine control and strategic transactions.

Materials and Contracts Leadership

You will lead materials planning, supply-chain control and vendor management, including procurement through GeM and CPPP. Familiarity with ERP-led inventory and tender workflows will help you manage this function effectively.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Relevant experience: only full-time work after the prescribed qualification is counted, and you must establish how each employment matches HCL's domain needs.
• Current grade: applicants from government bodies, banks and public-sector enterprises must meet the prescribed parallel or next-lower grade conditions. A same-pay-scale arrangement must not result in a grade jump.
• Internal applicants: regular HCL employees follow separate service-in-the-lower-grade conditions and are not subject to the external upper-age ceiling.
