DHSGSU JRF Environmental Sciences Recruitment 2026: Overview
Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya (DHSGSU), a Central University in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, is hiring one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for an ANRF-funded research project in its Department of Environmental Sciences. The three-year project, led by Dr. Amit Kumar, studies the link between atmospheric particulate exposure and respiratory disease in communities around the industrial zone of the Bundelkhand region. It's a good opportunity for science postgraduates who have cleared NET or GATE and want hands-on environmental research experience.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Tenure: The JRF position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project — it ends when the three-year project concludes.
- Interview mode: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, which may be held online or offline.
- Document check: You must bring all original certificates and relevant documents on the day of the interview.
- No TA/DA: The university does not pay any travel allowance for attending the interview.

जिम्मेदारियाँ
- Collect and analyse air quality and particulate-matter samples from the study sites around Bundelkhand's industrial zone
- Support field surveys and health data collection in communities exposed to atmospheric pollutants
- Maintain accurate lab records, sample logs and research data sheets
- Assist the Principal Investigator in preparing progress reports and research findings
- Review scientific literature related to air pollution and respiratory health
- Help prepare manuscripts and presentations from the project's research outcomes
पात्रता मानदंड
न्यूनतम योग्यता
M.Sc./M.Tech in Environmental Sciences, Microbiology, Chemistry, Botany, Physics, Geology, or Environmental Engineering with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university/institute as per UGC norms
वांछित योग्यता
Prior experience in relevant research work
आवश्यक कौशल
Must have qualified CSIR-UGC NET / GATE or an equivalent examination as per ANRF guidelines
आयु सीमा

You need an M.Sc./M.Tech in Environmental Sciences, Microbiology, Chemistry, Botany, Physics, Geology or Environmental Engineering with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA, and you must have cleared CSIR-UGC NET/GATE or an equivalent exam. The upper age limit is 30 years (5 years' relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD and women).

The fellowship is Rs. 37,000 per month plus 10% HRA for the first two years, rising to Rs. 42,000 per month plus 10% HRA in the third year.
