IGKV Raipur Vice Chancellor Recruitment 2026: Overview
The Governor's Secretariat at Lok Bhavan, Raipur is looking for a new Vice Chancellor for Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV), Raipur, Chhattisgarh's state agricultural university. The appointment is made under the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1987 and its later amendments. As Vice Chancellor, you would be both the academic and the administrative head of the university.
The search is for a visionary leader who can show proven leadership, sound administrative ability and strong teaching and research credentials. It is aimed at senior academics in Agriculture and allied subjects, including those who have held equivalent senior positions in reputed research or academic administration bodies.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Tenure: The term is at most five years, or until you turn 65, whichever comes first.
- Notarised affidavit: Applications without a notarised affidavit will be rejected. The affidavit must declare that every detail is true, accept that false information can lead to rejection, and accept that an appointed Vice Chancellor can be removed without notice if false details come to light.
- Prescribed format only: You must use the official application format; other formats are not accepted.
- Disclosure: The form asks you to declare any departmental enquiry or criminal case, including matters with the ACB, EOW, ED or Lok Aayog.
- Vision statement: The form includes a short note on your strengths (100 words) and your vision for the university (up to 500 words), along with publications, research projects, Ph.D. students guided, awards and referees.
Application Submission Notes
Send three sets of your application by Registered Post or Speed Post only to Deputy Secretary to Governor, Lok Bhavan, Raipur (C.G.) 492001. Write "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF VICE-CHANCELLOR, INDIRA GANDHI KRISHI VISHWAVIDYALAYA, RAIPUR (C.G.)" on the envelope.
The application must reach Lok Bhavan by the closing date. Late arrivals are not considered, even when the delay is caused by the post. You can download the application format from rajbhavancg.gov.in, agriportal.cg.nic.in, cgstate.gov.in, jansampark.cg.gov.in or igkv.ac.in.
