Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a Ministry of Railways enterprise, is forming a need-based panel of retired Indian Railways employees for its Mumbai Unit. The engagement covers Mechanical and Electrical work connected with freight-corridor operations, including open-line carriage and wagon activity and electrical field support. This is re-employment on a contractual basis, with deployment depending on the Unit's administrative and operational need. The key fit is recent, practical railway experience at the required substantive grade, because the panel is designed to place people who can contribute quickly without basic railway-system training.

Posts and Disciplines

• Mechanical Department: Roles are spread across the JNPT, NILN and SAHN locations and cover managerial, executive and junior-executive grade clusters. Open-line carriage and wagon experience is central to this stream.
• Electrical Department: The panel includes executive, junior-executive and Tower Wagon Driver work. Tower Wagon Driver consideration is limited to a non-supervisory profile against the junior-executive cluster.

Post-wise Duties

Mechanical Department

You will support the Mumbai Unit's rolling-stock and carriage-and-wagon work, use your open-line experience to identify operational issues, and help the team maintain safe and reliable freight movement. The exact assignment and location will follow the Unit's need and the grade against which you are empanelled.

Electrical Department

You will assist with electrical operations and field maintenance in the assigned cluster. Tower Wagon Driver work will involve operating the vehicle safely for overhead-equipment activity and coordinating with the electrical team under DFCCIL procedures.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: Re-employment is initially for one year and may be extended only when DFCCIL needs the service and finds performance satisfactory.
• Early termination: Either side may end the engagement with one month's notice.
• Pay treatment: Pay is fixed under DFCCIL's re-employment policy. Conveyance support and mobile charges follow company rules, while official travel follows the applicable TA, DA and lodging policy.
• Leave: You earn two days of leave for each completed contract month; accumulated leave cannot be carried into the next calendar year.
• Grade matching: Only the substantive or regular retirement grade is considered. MACP benefits do not change the grade used for empanelment.
• Fitness and conduct: Final engagement depends on medical fitness and vigilance clearance. The panel does not create any right to regular appointment in DFCCIL.

Bring the filled prescribed form to DFCCIL Mumbai Unit, 7th Floor, Central Railway New Admin Building, D N Road, Mumbai-400001. Reporting is between 10:00 hrs and 12:00 hrs. Carry the originals along with self-attested copies and recent photographs; DFCCIL will not admit a person whose eligibility or records cannot be checked at the venue.
