CUSB Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) is building a small project team in its Department of Bioinformatics for the DBT-funded BTISNet bioinformatics centre. The recruitment covers research leadership, computational project support and scientific administration, so the same notice offers routes for candidates at different academic levels. All roles are temporary and project-linked, with the team supporting the centre’s research, training and day-to-day coordination at the Gaya campus.

The project is designed to strengthen bioinformatics work at CUSB through research projects, biological-data analysis, workshops and training. You should choose the role that matches your academic background and practical strengths; the university allows one application to indicate interest in more than one post.

Posts and Disciplines

• Research Associate-I: a senior bioinformatics research role supporting the principal investigator, managing research activity and helping lead workshops and collaborative work.
• Project Associate-I: a computational biology role combining biological-data analysis with project coordination, documentation and stakeholder communication.
• Scientific Administrative Assistant: a science-support role covering laboratory records, asset and stock tracking, office work, data entry and assistance with ongoing research.

Post-wise Duties

Research Associate-I

You will help design and run bioinformatics research projects, coordinate with the wider team and support the principal investigator as a skilled research professional. You will also help organize workshops and training activities connected with the centre.

Project Associate-I

You will work with biological datasets while keeping project documentation and coordination on track. The role also supports communication with stakeholders and may offer scope to register for a Ph.D. under university rules.

Scientific Administrative Assistant

You will keep laboratory and office support systems running through data entry, asset tracking, stock records and general administrative work. You will also assist the research team and principal investigator with routine project needs.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: appointments are initially planned up to 7 July 2027 and may continue after annual review if project funds remain available.
• Project linkage: every appointment ends with the DBT project and does not create a right to a regular university position.
• Vacancy flexibility: CUSB may increase or reduce the advertised positions according to the project’s actual need.
• Shortlisting: the university will shortlist applicants on merit and project requirements; only shortlisted applicants will receive the offline interview details by email.
• Current employment: if you are already employed, bring a No Objection Certificate from your present employer to the interview.
• Travel: no TA or DA is payable for attending the interview or joining after selection.
