Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) Technical Assistant Grade III Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has released a notification to fill 1 Technical Assistant Grade III post on contract basis in the Department of Chemical Oceanography. This is a seasonal engagement — the selected candidate will work from July to April every year, with a break during the vacation months of May and June. The initial appointment is for one year, and it may be extended up to two years based on the University's assessment. If you have a strong science background and hands-on lab experience, this role gives you a chance to work on live oceanography research at a reputed government university.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: M.Sc. in Hydrochemistry / Chemistry or an equivalent postgraduate degree.
• Experience: You need at least 2 years of experience in a Research or Analytical Lab.
• The University may shortlist candidates based on the marks scored in your qualifying degree, so a strong academic record helps your chances.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Backward community and SC/ST candidates get the usual age relaxation as per Kerala government rules.

Salary

• The selected candidate gets a consolidated pay of Rs. 41,970 per month.
• This is a fixed consolidated amount for the contract period, in line with CUSAT's rules for contract engagements.

Selection Process

CUSAT will select the candidate through the following process:
