Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) Technical Assistant Grade III Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

CUSAT has released a re-notification (No. Ad.G2/MG&G/T.S/2020, dated 16 June 2026) for 1 Technical Assistant Grade III post in its Department of Marine Geology and Geophysics. This is a contract position where you will be engaged from July to April every year, with a break during the May-June vacation months. The initial contract runs for one year and can be extended up to two years depending on your performance and the department's requirements. A subsequent corrigendum has pushed the application window out to 17 August 2026, giving eligible candidates more time to apply. If you have a science background in marine geology along with hands-on lab work, this role gives you a chance to support ongoing research in a specialised university department.

CUSAT started out as the University of Cochin in 1971 and was renamed Cochin University of Science and Technology in 1986. Age Limit

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 41,970 per month for the contract period.
• This is a fixed contract salary rather than a regular pay scale, so there is no separate grade pay attached to it.
• Since the role runs from July to April each year with a break during the May-June vacation months, you are paid for the months you are actively engaged.
