Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) is recruiting a Junior Research Fellow in Biomedical Engineering for the ANRF-ARG project "OvaDetect". The research combines contrast-enhanced CT imaging, radiomics and artificial intelligence to support earlier ovarian-cancer detection in Indian clinical settings. This is a focused research assignment for someone who wants to work where biomedical imaging, clinical questions and machine learning meet.

The fellow will join the Department of Biomedical Engineering and work with the principal investigator, Dr. Manas Kumar Nag. The project calls for hands-on model development rather than only literature review: its central problem is to quantify ascites and pelvic masses, study imaging features and biomarkers, and bring those signals together in a risk-stratification framework. Programming confidence and an understanding of medical images will help you settle into the work quickly.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project appointment: The fellowship is purely time-bound and tied to the ANRF-ARG research project; it is not a regular university appointment.
• Initial tenure: The assignment begins with a one-year term and may be extended for up to another year when your performance is satisfactory and the project continues.
• Accommodation: University hostel accommodation may be offered, but only when a room is available.

• Project fit: A background in bioinformatics or programming is useful, especially practical work with Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, computer vision, anatomy and biomedical imaging.
