Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence, is looking for 1 Senior Field Operation Engineer to join its Homeland Security and Smart City Business (HLS&SCB) SBU project in Mumbai. This is a contract-based role offering a consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 80,000, with the potential for annual increments and a total engagement period of up to 5 years.

Selection Process

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will first need to register online through a Microsoft Office form. Shortlisted candidates will then appear for a written test worth 85 marks. Those who qualify the written test will be called for an interview carrying 15 marks, in a 1:5 ratio based on merit. The venue and date for the walk-in selection will be communicated via email and published on the BEL website.

1. Brush up on LAN implementation and IT infrastructure management — the role demands strong hands-on knowledge of setting up and managing multi-location IT setups
2. Review vendor management and operations management concepts — expect questions around coordinating with third-party vendors and running site IT operations
3. Practice communication skills — the interview component tests your ability to articulate technical solutions clearly
4. Revisit your core engineering fundamentals — whether you are from ECE, CSE, Mechanical, or Electrical background, the written test may cover domain-specific topics

Documents You'll Need

• 10th Standard marks card — serves as your date of birth proof
• All educational certificates from Class X onwards, including semester mark sheets and final consolidated marks sheet
• Degree certificate (BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA) — if your university uses CGPA, carry the conversion formula to percentage
• Post-qualification experience certificates from all employers — joining letters, relieving letters, and current employer's appointment letter with latest pay slip are mandatory
• Caste/disability certificate in the prescribed BEL format (only for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD candidates)
• No Objection Certificate — compulsory if you are currently working in a PSU or government organization
• SBI Collect payment receipt as proof of application fee payment
• Two recent passport-size colour photographs
