Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is hiring 1 Probationary Legal Officer (E-II) on a permanent basis for its Central Services Division at Bengaluru Complex. If you have a full-time LLB/BL degree with First Class, you can apply offline by post. The last date for your application to reach BEL is 20 August 2026. Pay starts at Rs. 40,000 per month in the E-II pay scale, going up to Rs. 1,40,000.

BEL, a Navaratna Company under the Ministry of Defence and India's premier professional electronics company, has released Advertisement No. 383/HR/CS/Rec/Legal/2025-26 (dated 29 July 2026) for one Probationary Legal Officer at its Bengaluru Complex. This is an unreserved (UR) permanent post in the E-II grade. If you are a law graduate looking for a stable, well-paying government-enterprise legal role in Bengaluru, this is worth applying for.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB/BL) from a recognized Indian University.
  • Marks: General category candidates need First Class; PwBD candidates need a pass class in their LLB/BL degree.
  • Your degree specialisation must match what is prescribed in the advertisement, or you will not be considered for selection.

Age Limit

  • Upper age limit is 25 years as on 01 July 2026 for UR category candidates.
  • Age Relaxation: PwBD candidates with minimum 40% disability get 10 years relaxation. Ex-servicemen get relaxation as per Government guidelines.

Salary

  • Selected candidates get a pay scale of Rs. 40,000-3%-1,40,000 in the E-II grade.
  • In addition to the Basic Pay of Rs. 40,000, you get Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, 35% of your Annual Basic Pay as Perquisites, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Group Life Insurance, Medical reimbursement, Provident Fund, NPS, and Gratuity as per Company rules.

Application Fee

  • General / OBC (NCL) candidates: Rs. 600 + 18% GST
  • SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen: No fee
  • Payment mode: Online only, through SBI Collect. The fee is non-refundable, and cheque, DD, or cash payments are not accepted.

Selection Process

The selection is done in stages:

  1. Written Test: Carries 85 marks. You need at least 35% marks (General) or 30% marks (PwBD) to qualify. The test will be held in Bengaluru only.
  2. Interview: Carries 15 marks. Candidates who clear the Written Test are shortlisted for Interview in a 1:5 ratio. The same 35%/30% qualifying marks apply.
  3. Final selection is based on your combined performance in both the Written Test and Interview.

How to Apply

  1. Download the Application Form from the BEL website along with the advertisement.
  2. Fill in the form and attach self-attested photocopies of your SSLC/10th marks card, LLB/BL degree certificate, final marks sheet, and (if applicable) caste/tribe/disability certificate.
  3. Pay the application fee online via SBI Collect (skip this step if you are exempted).
  4. Take a printout of the payment receipt and attach it to your application form along with your ID proof.
  5. Send the completed application by post to Manager (HR/CSG), Bharat Electronics Limited, Jalahalli Post, Bengaluru - 560013.
