AIIMS Delhi Radiation Oncology Recruitment 2026: Overview

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is hiring project staff for an ICMR-funded clinical trial (Project Code I-2044) in its Department of Radiation Oncology. The study is a Phase III randomised trial in cervical cancer that has spread to the para-aortic lymph nodes: it compares extended-field, bone-marrow-sparing IG-IMRT with concurrent chemotherapy against neoadjuvant plus concurrent chemotherapy. The Principal Investigator is Dr Surendra Kumar Saini.

All posts are contractual and run only as long as the project does. If you are a doctor, researcher, nurse or lab technician who wants hands-on clinical-trial experience at AIIMS, this is a good entry point.

Posts and Disciplines

Project Research Scientist-I (Medical): the medical scientist post on the trial; experience in clinical trials or public health is preferred.
Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical): the non-medical research post; prior research experience gives you an edge.
Project Nurse-I: the nursing support post on the project team.
Project Technical Support-I: the technical support post for the project.

Qualifications for every post follow the ICMR guidelines for non-institutional project positions (amended October 2024), which the notice links to.

Service Conditions and Caveats

Tenure: The appointment ends with the project, and you will have no claim to a regular job at AIIMS or ICMR.
Relevant experience only: Experience counts only if it was gained after your minimum qualification and in the field the project needs.
Recognised degrees: All qualifications must come from a recognised university, board or institution.
Interview: Only shortlisted candidates are called, and no TA/DA is paid. If the interview is in person, bring your original certificates for checking.
Changes: AIIMS may change the number of posts or cancel the process without giving a reason.
