TMC Medical and Non-Medical Recruitment 2026: Overview

Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), a grant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, is filling a long list of permanent medical, scientific, technical and office posts under advertisement TMC/AD/119/2026. The openings are spread across its cancer hospitals in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Guwahati, Muzaffarpur, Varanasi, Visakhapatnam and Punjab. Most of the doctor posts are at the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Muzaffarpur, while the clerk, attendant and helper posts are mostly at Muzaffarpur, Visakhapatnam and Sangrur.

This is a regular, pensionable recruitment, not a project or contract drive. Specialist doctors, medical physicists, lab scientists, technicians, experienced government administrators, graduates for clerical work and Class 10 pass candidates can all find a post here.

Posts and Disciplines

• Medical Officer 'E': senior doctor posts in Medical Oncology (Solid Tumour) and Nuclear Medicine at Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Paediatric Oncology at Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati, and Radiation Oncology at HBCH&RC Muzaffarpur.
• Medical Officer 'D': General Medicine at Parel and Muzaffarpur, Medical Oncology at Guwahati and Muzaffarpur, and Nuclear Medicine, Radio Diagnosis and Anaesthesiology at Muzaffarpur.
• Medical Superintendent-I: the hospital administration head post at BBCI Guwahati, for doctors with a hospital administration background.
• Medical Physicist 'D' and 'C': radiotherapy physics posts at Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel; both need AERB Radiological Safety Officer certification.
• Scientific Officer 'C' (Patient Navigation) and 'SB' (Cytopathology): a patient navigation post at Muzaffarpur and a cytopathology lab post at Parel.
• Technicians: Dental and Prosthetics Surgery Mechanic (Parel and Muzaffarpur), Molecular Pathology (Parel, reserved for ST) and Mechanical (Parel).
• Administrative and Accounts Officers: Administrative Officer III in Administration, Stores, Academics and Purchase, a Stores Officer, Accounts Officer II, Assistant Administrative Officer (Legal) at Varanasi and Assistant Accounts Officer at Visakhapatnam. These are meant for people already working in government, PSU or autonomous bodies.
• Stenographer and Upper Division Clerk: office posts at Parel (Stenographer) and at the Punjab, Visakhapatnam and Muzaffarpur units (UDC).
• Attendant and Trade Helper: Class 10 posts at Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, Muzaffarpur and Sangrur; several Trade Helper vacancies are earmarked for candidates with visual, hearing or locomotor disability.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nationality: Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) card holders and foreign nationals who meet the qualification and experience rules can apply, subject to the necessary clearance.
• Academic titles: Medical officers get a Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor designation based on their teaching experience under NMC norms.
• Incentives: Medical staff can earn performance-linked incentives based on individual and institutional results.
• Rotation and transfer: You can be rotated to any TMC unit as needed, and you must serve at least 5 years at your first location before you can ask for a transfer.
• Unreserved-only posts: Reserved-category candidates get no age relaxation when they apply for a post advertised only for the unreserved category.
• Government employees: If you work for a central or state government, PSU or autonomous body, apply through proper channel and bring your employer's permission to the test or interview, or you will not be allowed to appear.
• Contract option: TMC may choose to offer a fixed-term contract on consolidated pay instead of a regular appointment.
• Benefits: Officers get institutional support to attend national and international conferences after probation, medical facilities under TMC rules and residential quarters subject to availability.
• Jurisdiction: Any legal dispute will be heard in Mumbai.

TMC runs two separate online forms, one for medical posts and one for non-medical posts, both linked from the advertisement page. You need a PAN card to register, plus an email ID and mobile number that stay active, because call letters are sent only by email and SMS.
