PAU Research Fellow Bt Cotton Recruitment 2026

PAU Research Fellow Recruitment 2026: Overview

Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is hiring a Research Fellow for a Bt cotton evaluation project at Dr J.C. Bakhshi Regional Research Station, Abohar. This is a contractual research engagement linked to a named agricultural project, so your appointment will depend on the project's duration.

The scheme concerns GEAC-recommended Bt cotton hybrids in North India and refers to six locations during Kharif 2026-27 at Bathinda. The notice places this fellowship at RRS, Abohar. Keep that distinction in mind when reading the project title: Bathinda appears in the scheme name, while the recruiting station and interview venue are in Abohar.

The university identifies the scheme as Misc 88 (PC-5068). These references help you distinguish this opening from other research fellowships advertised by PAU or its outstations. The notice does not provide a separate day-to-day duty list for the fellow.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial appointment: The engagement lasts for six months or until the project finishes, whichever happens first. The shorter of those periods determines the initial tenure.
• Project connection: The fellowship belongs to the cotton evaluation scheme named in this notice. It is a contractual project appointment.
• Interview travel: PAU will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview. You will need to arrange your own travel to Abohar.
• Incomplete applications: The station will not consider forms that are incomplete or lack the required supporting material.
