Posts and Disciplines

• Full Stack Developer (AI/ML & Web Applications): This role connects user-facing web applications with backend services, databases, cloud infrastructure and AI features.
• AI/ML Engineer: This role focuses on the models themselves, from training and adaptation to efficient deployment for text, documents, images and speech.
• Data Scientist (AI & ML): This role combines statistical analysis, model development and evaluation to solve practical problems and measure outcomes.

Post-wise Duties

Full Stack Developer

You will build accessible web applications and connect them to AI services through clear interfaces. The work includes retrieval-based assistants, document processing and agents that call tools. You will also handle testing, deployment, monitoring and security, while helping colleagues through code reviews and technical documentation.

AI/ML Engineer

You will develop and adapt machine learning models, compare them against baselines and improve their accuracy and running cost. The notice covers document understanding, computer vision and speech systems as well as language models. You will work with application and deployment teams to monitor model performance, investigate failures and feed those findings back into evaluation.

Data Scientist

You will turn practical requirements into analytical problems with measurable outcomes. Your work includes checking data quality, choosing suitable modelling methods and explaining uncertainty to people without a technical background. You will also assess errors across languages and user groups, document limitations and help keep deployed systems useful and reliable.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: The initial engagement lasts three years. An extension depends on what the project needs.
• Posting: You will initially work in New Delhi, with transfer to NeGD project locations possible under the organisation's policy.
• Appointment status: The project engagement gives you no claim to a permanent appointment or a future vacancy at NeGD/DIC.
• Termination: NeGD may end the appointment with one month's notice, or pay one month's salary instead of notice.
• Designation: Your final designation will follow NeGD's existing designation policy.
• Recruitment discretion: NeGD may fill all, some or none of the advertised positions. Meeting the stated requirements does not guarantee an appointment.
