The University of Lucknow (LU) is recruiting a Junior Research Assistant for an ongoing project in its Department of Zoology. The study examines how microplastics affect ageing and health across generations in Drosophila melanogaster, under the Council of Science and Technology, Uttar Pradesh (CSTUP). You would join the project led by Dr. Nidhi Dwivedi at the university in Lucknow. The appointment is tied to this research project and is open to Indian nationals who live in Uttar Pradesh.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project-linked tenure: The fellowship ends with the project. The notice describes a temporary research appointment, so you should read the tenure as linked to the study rather than a separate continuing university position.
• Residence condition: This recruitment is for Indian nationals who are residents of Uttar Pradesh. The condition applies to the advertised project position, alongside the academic requirements shown separately.
• Interview communication: The project team will contact shortlisted applicants by email or phone, potentially at short notice. Keep the contact details you provide current so that you can receive that communication.
• Travel arrangements: The university will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview. If you are called, you will need to meet those costs yourself.
