DMEO Upper Division Clerk Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO), NITI Aayog is filling an Upper Division Clerk post in New Delhi through deputation. Its Administration Division has issued the circular for serving government staff, with a prescribed proforma attached as Annexure I.

The deputation arrangement is central to this opening: you apply through your existing office, which certifies your service details and forwards your case. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The appointment is initially for three years. The usual Government of India deputation terms apply to the assignment.
• Previous ex-cadre service: The ordinary three-year limit also includes an immediately preceding deputation, including a short-term contract, in another ex-cadre post under the Central Government. This applies whether that earlier assignment was in the same organisation or another department.
• Departmental promotion route: Staff in the feeder category who are directly in line for promotion cannot be considered for deputation under this circular. Likewise, a deputationist cannot be considered for appointment through promotion.
• Office certification: Your head of office must confirm that the particulars you supplied are correct. The forwarding certificate also covers disciplinary proceedings and vigilance clearance.

The Annexure I proforma includes a section for your signature and a separate certificate for the head of your office. The forwarding authority signs with their name, designation and official stamp.
