Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) is recruiting a contractual Chair Professor for Holistic Approach for Revitalisation of India Tradition (HARIT) in its School of Earth Sciences. Based in Rajasthan's semi-arid region, the initiative connects traditional environmental knowledge with scientific testing and practical use. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Conflicting tenure terms: The position table describes an initial five-year tenure with yearly extensions for two more years, subject to performance and funding. However, the general conditions describe a three-year contract or the end of the tenure, whichever comes first; ask CURAJ to clarify which term applies before accepting an offer.
• No permanent appointment: This engagement does not give you a claim to permanent absorption at the university.
• University rules: CURAJ's administrative and financial rules apply unless the notice makes a specific exception. You need university approval before holding another administrative post during the appointment.
• Ownership of research: The university and the author will jointly own intellectual property produced under the Chair. This condition matters when planning research outputs and collaborations.
• International participation: The university may consider foreign nationals, Overseas Citizens of India and non-resident Indians with suitable expertise, subject to Government of India norms.
• Ending the contract: Either side may end the engagement with one month's notice or one month's salary instead. CURAJ may also discontinue an appointment for unsatisfactory performance.
• Accuracy and conduct: False records or hidden information can lead to immediate termination. Attempts to influence the recruitment lead to disqualification, and disputes fall under the courts at Jaipur.
• Administrative changes: The university may withdraw the advertisement or change the recruitment arrangements for administrative reasons or to correct mistakes.
