IIT Kharagpur Mining JRF AEH-113 Recruitment 2026

IIT Kharagpur Mining JRF Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) is filling a Junior Research Fellow role in Mining Engineering through its Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy staff recruitment portal. The institute lists this as a temporary project position coordinated by Aurobinda Routray, with the work based at IIT Kharagpur.

This opening appears as its own specific advertisement record on the official portal. It should be treated separately from the neighbouring Mining Engineering JRF notice, even though the designation and closing window are the same. The official careers digest identifies the role and department but does not reproduce the project title, detailed qualification, pay or technical scope for this record.

Use the specific advertisement page for serial 5992 as the controlling source when preparing your application. Do not assume that the degree branches, test-score conditions or desired research background from another JRF advertisement also apply here. This matters because IIT Kharagpur's project posts can use the same designation while serving different technical work packages.

The role is best approached as an early-career research appointment within Mining Engineering. Your application should focus on the academic and project evidence requested on the official detail page once reviewed, and any statement of purpose or experience note should be tailored to that record. Keeping the application tied to the correct serial number helps prevent documents meant for a different project from being submitted here.
