ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education (ICAR-CIFE) is engaging a Young Professional-II for its Centre of Excellence in Fisheries Entrepreneurship Development (CEFED) project in Mumbai. The role combines fisheries knowledge with entrepreneurship support, making it a useful opening if you want to work with start-ups, incubation programmes and innovation projects rather than in a purely laboratory position. Your work will connect technical ideas with practical business planning for the fisheries start-up ecosystem.

The institute is a deemed university under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, and the CEFED assignment focuses on helping entrepreneurship programmes move from planning to measurable delivery. You should be comfortable switching between project coordination, business documents, stakeholder communication and data work. This is a project engagement, not a route to automatic regular appointment at ICAR-CIFE.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The first appointment is for one year. It may be extended when your performance and the project need justify it, but the complete engagement cannot run beyond five years.
• Temporary status: The position is purely temporary, and selection does not create a claim to a regular ICAR-CIFE post.
• Project commitment: You cannot take another job or outside assignment during the project without written permission from the Project Principal Investigator.
• Travel support: ICAR-CIFE will not pay TA or DA for attending the walk-in interview.
• Employer clearance: If you are already working, bring a No Objection Certificate from your present employer.
• Relative declaration: You must disclose any near or distant relative employed by ICAR or ICAR-CIFE using the prescribed declaration.
• Certificates: You can attend only when you have the required original or provisional degree certificates and photocopies. Final marksheets without the relevant degree certificate are not enough.
• Project requirement: The institute may vary the final engagement requirement according to other project needs on the interview day.

Bring the completed Annexure I application and Annexure II declaration, along with your originals and self-attested copies. Paste the requested recent photograph on the form and keep another copy ready.
