GTDC Manager (Legal) and Driver Recruitment 2026: Overview

Goa Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. (GTDC), a Government of Goa undertaking based at Paryatan Bhavan in Panaji, is hiring for two posts on a contract basis: Manager (Legal) and Driver. GTDC runs the state's tourism properties and services, so the corporation needs both a legal hand for its civil and property matters and a team of drivers for its fleet.

Both posts are open only to people with deep roots in Goa — a 15-year Goa residence certificate and a valid employment card are part of the paperwork, and knowledge of Konkani is essential for both roles. Marathi is a plus. If you are a lawyer with civil and property experience, or an experienced driver with a heavy, medium or light vehicle licence, read on.

Posts and Disciplines

• Manager (Legal): a legal role at GTDC's head office for a law graduate who has handled civil and property matters or practised as an advocate in court. The contract runs for three years, and the job also asks for working knowledge of computers.
• Driver: driving posts for candidates who have passed SSC and hold a heavy, medium or light vehicle driving licence with a clean record in the line. The contract runs for one year, and selection includes a driving skill test as well as an interview.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract basis: Both posts are purely contractual. The contract period can be extended from time to time depending on the workload.
• Goa residence: You need a valid certificate of 15 years' residence in Goa issued by the Mamlatdar. Children of Goa Government employees working outside the state, people whose marriage to a 15-year resident is registered in Goa with five years of continuous stay, and ex-servicemen (with spouse and children) living in Goa for two years after release are exempt, but must show supporting proof.
• Employment card: A valid employment card is required for both posts.
• Pay rules: Monthly pay for contract staff is drawn under para 4 of the Goa Department of Personnel Office Memorandum No. 10/1/77-PER dated 24 June 2015, against the pay scale printed for each post.
• Age limit: The notice does not print an age figure; it follows the Government guidelines circular.
• Eligibility cut-off: Your qualification, experience and age are judged on the last date for applications.
• Call letters: Only eligible candidates get call letters. If yours does not arrive, you can still attend on the date shown in the interview schedule posted on the GTDC and Goa Government websites, carrying your originals.
• No travel allowance: No TA or other allowance is paid for attending the interview or skill test.
• Canvassing and false information: Canvassing disqualifies you, and false certificates can lead to disqualification at any stage, prosecution, or termination after appointment.
• Right to cancel: GTDC's Board of Directors can cancel the recruitment at any time without giving a reason.

Application Submission Notes

There is no online form. Fill the prescribed application form printed with the advertisement and hand it in, with self-attested copies of your certificates, at the office of the Managing Director, Goa Tourism Development Corporation Ltd., 3rd Floor, Paryatan Bhavan, Patto, Panaji, Goa 403001 during office hours, by 5:30 p.m. on the last day. Collect the acknowledgement when you submit.

Incomplete forms are refused at the entry counter, and postal applications that arrive after the due date are not considered. Apply under your current name and give a correct postal address, since call letters go by post.
