• Extensions: Continued engagement depends on the project's needs, a review of your work and CSIR rules. An initial appointment does not guarantee an extension.
• Overall limit: Engagement ends with the project, and total project service across CSIR laboratories cannot exceed six years.
• Performance review: Your work will be reviewed periodically. Unsatisfactory performance can lead to termination without notice or a stated reason.
• No regular appointment claim: The project engagement gives you no right to regularisation or absorption into an IICB or CSIR post.
• Recruitment changes: The institute may change the number of openings, reject a candidature or cancel the advertisement without giving a reason.
